Getting to know Monkey Toe Diapers
What got you started in selling items in your Etsy shop?
I found Etsy through a friend and started selling there this year after seeing the wonder stuff on this site I anted to sell here as well.
How did your shop name originate?
A game my hubby would play with my newborn son telling him that he we eat is monkey toes
What is one thing you wish someone would have told you when you started cloth diapering?
If you are looking to start a Cloth Diaper Business be ready to understand that it is more than a hobby business and you will need some money to get started and it takes time for sales to happen.
What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not sewing/working for your shop?
Hanging with my family
What is your current favorite item in your shop, and why?
This - Because Christmas is right around the corner
What is your favorite material to work with?
Bamboo
How long has your shop been open?
My Etsy shop was open November 12th 2009. I started Monkey Toe Diapers in 2005
Personal bio:My name is Susan Mraz and I will be happily married 10 years in February of 2011 to my hubby Mark, and I have a 6 year old son that we did cloth diaper until he was 2.5 Allen. I am a work at home mom still trying to figure out how to balance everything. Life is constantly changing and so do I. Have fun and good luck to the winner.

Getting to know The Quirky Cat
What got you started in selling items in your Etsy shop?
I'm a stay-at-home mama who loves to make items for my own kids. I wanted to open up a shop to share some of these creations.
How did your shop name originate?
It is inspired by my quirky little cat, Maggie. It took me forever to come up with a shop name, too. I truly think it's the hardest part of starting on Etsy.
What is one thing you wish someone would have told you when you started cloth diapering?
Get a bigger diaper bag! Cloth is a bit more bulky than 'sposies; also, passers-by often have questions about CDing and it's nice to have some cute examples on hand!
What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not sewing/working for your shop?
I love to round up my kids and husband, get out of the house, and start searching for new adventures.
What is your current favorite item in your shop, and why?
I'm really in love with my skirtie pattern because it is just so darn cute on a little girl!
What is your favorite material to work with?
Anything brightly colored!
How long has your shop been open?
We opened in Spring 2010, but I've been sewing diapers for 2 years now.
Personal bio:My name is Lauren Cairns and I live in New Hampshire with my amazing husband, Jeff. We have two daughters, 2-year-old Abbie and 2-month-old Julie. I enjoy cooking, hiking, and a good game of Trivial Pursuit.
