Getting to know Colibi Creations

What got you started in selling items in your Etsy shop?

      I started selling online through discussion boards, and wanted something more shop-like, without having to spend hours setting up Zen Cart

How did your shop name originate?

      In the 90s, a friend of mine saw the word in Europe and we stared to make word games with it.  Then I chose Colibi as my username on a few boards.  And after a while it became an obvious choice, as it is easy to pronounce in English and French.

What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not sewing/working for your shop?

       I love reading, I am a compulsive book buyer.  I also love to sew for my family and friends.  Lately I have an urge to sew little girl clothing.

What is your current favorite item in your shop, and why?

What is your favorite material to work with?

     I love bamboo terry and hemp fleece, they are buttery to sew, and Procool Jersey for thin, breathable, yet stay-dry diaper inner

How long has your shop been open?

     I have been on Etsy since May, 2010

Personal bio: 

    My name is Marie-Aude. I'm 28, married, a mother of a little girl turning one this week, and a boy of almost 3.  Both are/have been in cloth from birth.  I live near Ottawa, Canada, and speak French and English.
